Le 1er juillet 2012, Carsten Knobel 42 ans, Corporate Senior Vice Président Senior et Directeur Financier de la branche Cosmétiques et responsable du contrôle de gestion, succèdera à Lothar Steinebach, 63 ans, en tant que Directeur financier de Henkel. Lothar Steinebach prendra sa retraite à la fin du mois de juin 2012 après plus de 30 ans passés chez Henkel où il a occupé de nombreux postes clés. Il est membre du Comité de Direction en tant que Vice Président Exécutif et Directeur Financier depuis 2003.

Pour la cinquième fois consécutive, Henkel a été reconnu leader dans le domaine du développement durable par l’indice Dow Jones (Dow Jones Sustainability Index) dans la catégorie biens de grande consommation. Henkel est également la seule entreprise de son secteur à être représentée à la fois dans l’Indice Mondial Dow Jones du développement durable (DJSI World) et dans l’indice Européen Dow Jones du développement durable (DJSI Europe). Durable anti-spatter protection for welding equipment is what you can expect from Aerodag Ceramishield, the ceramic dry film coating from Henkel. As confirmed by the independent consultancy REFACONSULT, this coating significantly reduces spatter build-up on welding torches, thereby also reducing production costs and saving time.

In electrical equipment that generates heat, cable bundles must be durably protected against high temperatures. With Terostat 3631 FR, Henkel has developed a flame retardant and easily applied butyl sealant which is especially suitable for applications where low flammability is essential.

Under the motto “Take off to tomorrow”, Henkel is presenting a new generation of hotmelts for edgebanding and profile wrapping at the LIGNA 2011 trade fair in Hannover. In addition to high thermal stability and minimal application weights, the innovative hotmelt Technomelt Supreme is characterized mainly by its use of a new polymer base. By opening up this raw materials category, adhesives manufacturer Henkel is offering its customers not only supply security but also a broader spectrum of product solutions.

Henkel employs around 48,000 people from over 110 nations. More than 80 percent of these work outside of Germany and more than half in emerging countries. Held in Düsseldorf on April 11, 2011, the Annual General Meeting of Henkel AG & Co. KGaA saw all of its agenda resolutions passed by the voting shareholders, of whom a total of some 2,000 attended the event.

Suite aux bonnes performances de 2010, Kasper Rorsted, Président du Comité de Direction de Henkel, a reconfirmé les objectifs financiers définis pour 2012, lors de l'Assemblée générale annuelle de l'entreprise tenue ce jour. « En 2010, nos résultats ont été excellents. Henkel a enregistré la meilleure année de toute l'histoire de l'entreprise. Nous restons concentrés sur nos priorités stratégiques et nous sommes confiants dans l’atteinte de nos objectifs de 2012. » Kasper Rorsted a confirmé les objectifs pour l'exercice 2011 annoncés lors de la conférence de presse des résultats annuels en février dernier. « Nous espérons atteindre une croissance organique de l'ordre de 3 à 5% en 2011 et anticipons une augmentation de notre marge EBIT ajustée d'environ 13% ainsi qu'une hausse des bénéfices par action préférentielle d'environ 10%. »

The ranking, prepared by the US Ethisphere Institute, recognizes companies from around the globe for their exemplary ethical approach to corporate governance and their commitment to sustainable development.

Henkel published its 20th Sustainability Report today in conjunction with its Annual Report for 2010. More than 20 years ago, Henkel made a commitment to principles and objectives relating to occupational health and safety, resource conservation and emissions reduction. In 2008, the company announced its targets for 2012. Thanks to determination throughout the organization, these targets had already been achieved by the end of 2010. Measured on a per-ton output basis, energy consumption had decreased by 21 percent, water usage by 26 percent, and the amount of waste generated by 24 percent. Over the same period, the number of occupational accidents fell by 29 percent. These achievements demonstrate that, for Henkel, sustainability is inextricably linked to economic success.

Henkel is introducing a new corporate design across the company in combination with the launch of its new claim “Henkel – Excellence is our Passion”. “Our new claim summarizes what we stand for as a company and with our brands and our people around the world: we strive to be the best in everything we do,” said Kasper Rorsted, Chairman of the Henkel Management Board. “Both, our new claim and our new visual identity will further strengthen the Henkel brand around the world."

January 1, 2011 saw Jan-Dirk Auris and Bruno Piacenza take up their posts on the Henkel Management Board. Auris has assumed responsibility for running the Adhesive Technologies business sector, succeeding Thomas Geitner who resigned his position for personal reasons. Piacenza also joined the Board at the start of the year, being due on March 1, 2011 to succeed Dr. Friedrich Stara as the Henkel Management Board member responsible for the Laundry & Home Care business sector. Dr. Friedrich Stara intends to take retirement as of the end of February 2011.
